Ethan Welch, MD, FACS (retired), is Emeritus Professor of Surgery from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. A graduate of Harvard College and Johns Hopkins Medical School, he trained at Bellevue Hospital in NYC and served as a lieutenant commander in the USPHS. He practiced and taught vascular surgery in Rochester, New York, for over thirty years. He lives in Rochester with his wife Janet.
